TO THOSE WHO CAN HELP…
These are unusual and disturbing times. Some people in our community are struggling already and some have the potential to fall behind, not just the elderly, but families juggling work and children and trying to keep everyone clean and safe. A number of you have told me that you are willing to help. There are practical tasks to be done as well as offering reassurance to those who are more vulnerable…
LRA emails reach only a small percentage of our community directly. Be aware of your neighbours and consider for a moment – who is not on line? Who does not receive these messages? Who might need help and be feeling isolated? This is invaluable knowledge.
I know some have formed local watch groups and this is a fabulous idea. These “micro-communities” will be best informed about the needs of close neighbours and best able to offer or co-ordinate help. Contact ”Laleham Friends” today and tell them about your activities. It would be great if every street or block had one or two locals working with ”Laleham Friends” and we could feel sure that EVERYONE is covered.
