The Laleham Residents Association

exists for the benefit of all Laleham residents to protect the beauty and integrity of Laleham, support local charities and safeguard community interests.

The “Laleham Society” ran charitable and sociable events in Laleham from the 1940’s onwards. In 1970 Laleham was designated a Conservation Area and the society was re-energized as the “Laleham Residents Association”,

with a mission to preserve the beauty and integrity of this historic village, to support and represent its residents.

We are here to support residents with issues such as traffic, particularly HGV traffic, on our roads. We meet with and pursue the relevant authorities, councils, police, and industrialists to resolve issues and improve quality of life in Laleham.

We are also dedicated to building community by organizing affordable and fun, social events for all of our residents.

We are a registered charity staffed entirely by volunteers. We survive only on the money we raise from memberships, from donations and from events. With this money we fund the summer hanging baskets throughout the village, organise Christmas lights, fund improvements to the common areas and plant and maintain the war memorial. If we have any surplus funds at the end of the year, we donate to other, local charities.

LALEHAM is a small Village but there has been a Residents Association here for decades. Our main aim is to be an information hub so that no-one is left in the dark about major issues and people feel connected and motivated to be part of a community.

There is lots going on and much that can be achieved if we all join together!

As a member of the Laleham Residents Association, you will receive email updates on events in the community. You will have the opportunity to contact us if you have concerns about the village or information which you would like to share with others.

Above all we want everyone in the village to feel “connected” and to enjoy living in Laleham. There are a surprising number of opportunities to get out among your neighbors and make friends. There are a plethora of societies and hobby groups in the area – so come to one of our events and find out what’s going on!

The Laleham Residents Association run a number of events every year including the Village Fair and Garden Open Day. See the Events tab for details!
