Garden Open Day CANCELLED - 23/06/2018

The LRA are sad to announce that Laleham Garden Open Day 2018 has been cancelled.

This special day for Laleham, founded 30 years ago by the excellent Beryl Shattock, has been a village celebration to be proud of! We have enjoyed the gardens of many, wonderful and generous contributors and welcomed visitors from as far away as Australia, America and Sunbury. Unfortunately, some of our regular contributors are advancing in years and it has proved impossible to attract enough new residents to open their gardens.

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed over the years. We will test the waters again in 2019 and, if more interest is shown, could perhaps make this a bi-annual event.

Laleham Panto - 06/12/2017

Thanks to the Laleham Players and Laleham Residents Association for staging the 2017 Pantomime at Laleham Village Hall.

“Sleeping Beauty and the Cavalier Cook” was a hilarious slice of Christmas spirit which entertained and enchanted in equal measure.

Director Jo Bartlett made the most of Annie Roper’s script and there were excellent performances from the cast, including a stand-out baddie, played by Katie Child and Chester the (irresistible!) Jester played by Matthew Burrows.

Hayley Tyler and James Griffith duetted beautifully as the love-struck Prince and Princess and Laleham’s, most loveable Dame, Steve Bartlett, played the irrepressible and lovable Ester Rancid, the eponymous Cavalier Cook.

The Village Fair - 07/07/2018
Our Laleham Fair is well attended and we have the best atmosphere. Families have a great fun day out.

This year we have added sports skills to take part in the main arena, as well as the family games, dance demonstrations, and live music and this always brings in families whom stay to support the children. We aim to have a variety of stalls. with many different food and drink outlets

On July 7th 2018 we will open the fair at 11:30 until 16:30

Come and join us and enjoy a fun day out.

The Lucan Recreation Ground (TW18 1RZ) - 11:30 to 16:30

BRING YOUR (PEDIGREE) MUTT TO SHOW! Various categories from the exquisitely beautiful and unbearably cute to the merely agile. Surely that bundle of fluff will excel at something?

Enquiries, please contact Deborah Sackett 07725 553463 / 07889 386936
Light Up Laleham! - 02/12/2018

Event starts around 6:15pm, Carols & Candles at 6.40pm, Lights on at 7:00pm.

Whatever the weather everyone is welcome for this brief bit of Christmas fun, so please come along - it's all free and a nice little community event guaranteed to warm the cockles of your heart even as the temperature plummets..!
