Staines-upon-Thames Day A free, family fun day with entertainment and activities for all ages. Live music, fairground rides and inflatables, face painting, craft and community stalls plus boating and kayaking on the river. Staines Memorial Gardens from 11am.

Royal Swan Upping.  - Traveling between Shepperton Lock (10.45am approx) and Penton Hook (12.30pm approx)
The Royal Swan Uppers, who wear the scarlet uniform of Her Majesty The Queen, travel in traditional rowing skiffstogether with Swan Uppers from the Vintners’ and Dyers’ livery companies. See web site


Staines Amateur Regatta. 8:30am to 6:00pm. This annual regatta takes place on a 500m course downstream from Wheatsheaf Lane finishing at Silvery Sands.
This event is free for spectators, who enjoy watching the racing at the temporary licensed bar at Silvery Sands. There is also an enclosure area at the finish line, barbecue, fresh sandwiches, teas, cakes, and ice cream. See web site


Burway Rowing Club - The Regatta. Start 9am, last race 5pm. (Join the river from Ferry Lane and turn left). Refreshments are served throughout the day and the clubhouse bar is open to all.

LRA - The Village Quiz A chance to look like a real smarty-pants, (or a good sport), in front of your friends and neighbours! LRA quiz master Judith presides over picture, sound and general knowledge rounds all joined together with a cunning link!

Rememberance Sunday Gather at the War Memorial at 10:45 for the laying of wreaths, words of remembrance and minutes silence.
There is always a large crowd for this sad occasion and various local groups and councillors will be in attendance.The road will be closed for a short while the service is in progress.


LRA - Light up Laleham!  Gather at All Saints Church for the switching on of the Laleham Christmas lights. Enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie with family & neighbours. There will be a brief advent service inside the church.
Event starts around 6:15pm. Lights on 7:00pm


Shepperton Big Tree Night Thousands of Christmas revellers will pack Shepperton High Street for this year's Big Tree Night.
The annual festive fair is full of stalls, treats and seasonal goodwill as people help to usher in the start of the Christmas period.




Burway Rowing Club - Small Boats Head. Challenging 3000m upstream course on the Thames from Chertsey Lock to Penton Hook Lock
